Settling Into Peru

We've been in Peru for two weeks: adjusting to the time change and the altitude, finding an apartment, going to Lake Titicaca. We have lucked into the most wonderful moments. We can't wait to show you!

In the meantime - here's a shot of our first few days in Cusco, at 11,000 ft. This is what we did for the first 48 hours or so. Altitude in a bitch!!

Ella is addicted to the oxygen tank!!

As many people know, we spiritual types are often attracted to high altitudes, and it is widely believed that when a Gulungan Monk reaches full realization, the extra "L" is added to the title 'Lama,' and he/she is free to wander the Andes for eternity... or until the Llama poachers find them.

Anyway, breathe deeply, and enjoy the spirituality of the place.

Gunga Gulunga,
...Lama...

Wow! I almost forgot that Lake. Jackson will split a gut! Was it from an old Bob Hope and Crosby Road Picture ? Or Abbott and
Costello movie? 3 stooges?

Our Grandma Peggy has one of those for her walks, only the tank is much smaller. At home, she has an air condensing machine that runs all night long (like having a biplane idling in your kitchen while you sleep).

I can feel the moisture in the air looking at that photograph.

We're waiting for more stories.
Aloha,
Nicole.
